Ms. Lewis began her career with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), starting as a COOP student with the Soil Conservation Service (now known as the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)) as a FORTRAN programmer in an Engineering Project Office. Upon her graduation from Delaware State College, Ms. Lewis took a position as an IT specialist with NRCS in Delaware. From there, she continued to expand her knowledge and expertise across USDA, serving as the Group Manager for Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey in 2004. Beginning in 2008, Ms. Lewis then served as the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Client Experience Center (CEC) Technical Support Division (TSD) Branch Chief in several offices including the National Capital Region; Greensboro, NC; Lincoln, NE; Portland OR; Fort Worth, TX; Kansas City and St. Louis, MO. She was selected as the TSD Deputy Director in 2012 and served as the TSD Director beginning in 2014. In 2024, Ms. Lewis was selected as the CEC Executive Director of Operations and Management and recognized as the IT Leader of the Year during the USDA OCIO Innovation for Mission Performance and Customers in Technology (IMPACT) Awards.
